Federal Income Taxation Examples Explanations Katherine Pratt Thomas D Griffith Joseph Bankman Books Reviews
- This is the only E & E book I wouldn't recommend. Too much changes in tax law for this book to stay relevant except for maybe a few key concepts. However this book is also not very deep. It is basic and does not even delve into the treasury regs which help explain the IRC so much.
- I didn't get through all the chapters before my final, but I got some tough questions right thanks to this book. Don't be like me and just skip to the exercises. Some of the explanations are really good, and the book is AWESOME about citing to specific code sections.
I wish there were more charts, just saying. Also can someone make a supplement that's just code sections in plain English, organized by topic? Maybe searchable, as an app? I will help - the DGCL needs one too. - This book was recommended by my Professor. Easy reading and will see if it's good preparation for exams.
- Who would have thought tax law would be interesting?
- My professor for Federal Income Tax was not the best, so this book saved my grade. The examples and the way they explain the concepts is very clear and easy to comprehend.
- Much easier to read than a textbook, and it does a great job of breaking everything down. I always understand the topic better after referring to E&E.
- I just ordered this book. Still reading the intro (Chapter 1). So far, I like what I'm reading, it's in plain English and the examples are there to help. It does to me, most importantly makes me want to know more. Hope it stays that way. I'll come back to this review when I'm about halfway of this book.
- Tax can be a difficult subject to understand. Especially if you're like me and could care less about the subject. GET THIS BOOK! helps explain everything and gives you lots of questions so you can test your knowledge.
